The mission of Average Miracles is to foster, within the mental health system, critical mass awareness and practical experience of alternative methods of healing, energy medicine and progressive thought as a practical and valuable means to create mental, emotional, spiritual and physical healing, and to generate continued awareness and responsiveness to the need for integration of body/mind/soul for mental health consumers and all levels of their health care workers.

The goals of Average Miracles encompass:

• Through experiential means, to foster within the mental health system, both California statewide and nationally, critical mass awareness of alternative methods of healing and energy medicine as a practical, valuable and effective means toward general well-being and the recovery from mental illness.

• To build an understanding of the direct connection between positive states-of-mind and healing as well as maintaining and sustaining continued well-being. To explore why and how positive mental states such as hopefulness, optimism, positive expectation and belief, enthusiasm, happiness, humor and even states like appreciation, joy and love, support and promote healing and recovery from mental illness. To offer ways to achieve and sustain positive as well as, functional and productive mental states of being.

• To offer evidence that energy movement in the body, mentally, physically and emotionally are vital to the well-being of and among mental health consumers. To further this education within the Mental Health System of Mental Health Agency CEOs, Program Directors, Counselors, Social Workers, Therapists, Case Managers, Vocational Rehabilitation Specialists, Traditional Educators or Researchers, Peer Specialists, Persons in Recovery and Family Members of those with psychiatric disabilities (with special efforts toward directly educating as many consumer's of mental health services with psychiatric disabilities as possible), in this regard.
