The mission of A Wiser World is to provide an education that encompasses thinking, personal expression, and a sense of self-worth to the children of the Himalayan Mountains.

Children in poor countries and rural areas around the world have fewer educational opportunities.  In the Himalayan region of India the education that is available uses rudimentary teaching practices, lacks teaching resources, and is conducted in substandard infrastructure.  As a result, children grow up with little knowledge and decision making skills.  We don't feel that these children have less mental capability than others.  Instead, they can succeed in life and compete in the global economy if they are given the tools to do so through their education.  We want to accomplish this through training teachers in modern teaching methods, classroom management skills, and the use of teaching resources as well as improving school infrastructure.
