New Latitude mobilizes initiatives that actively promote community projects benefiting both people and the environment.

Through education and inspirational community programs, New Latitude is spearheading grassroots capacity building for resilient self-sustaining conservation and development projects in Southwest Madagascar, by:

• engaging local people in creative vocational education and employment;
• creating opportunities that ensure the protection of nature while generating self-sustainable income;
• implementing broader sustainable development projects: i.e. public health, forest restoration and carbon sequestration, in accordance with the ‘Madagascar Action Plan’ (MAP) and the Kyoto Protocol.
