Election Transparency Coalition New York is dedicated to educating and organizing the citizens of New York State and beyond to maintain, and when necessary, restore citizen oversight and public control of our elections – our fundamental democratic right that has been undermined by the use of computerized vote-counting systems that invisibly tally our ballots unobserved and unprotected from error and undetectable manipulation.
 
New York is the only state in the nation with a transparent electoral system requiring that every step of the process be witnessed and safeguarded.  This has resulted in a completed, reliable at-elections count that is simultaneously proclaimed and committed to paper on election night in over 16,000 election districts.  By educating, organizing and litigating, we intend to prevent the State from undermining our centuries-old requirements – safeguards which have been designed to protect the count from error and fraud through a transparent, observable and maximally secured process, enforced by our public election officials, political parties and ordinary citizens.
